Textmod Error
Ok, so I searched the threads to see if anyone found a fix that would help me also, but alas...such luck was not found.
Ok so here is my problem. I can open Textmod, Choose the packages/program(GW) I wanna use, and it opens the game fine. ( I tried multiple packages also) but when I am in the game, nothing changed at all.
I am running Windows 7 with an ATI HD 4670 at 1280 by 1024 and Directx 11 if any of that helps.
I think the Directx 11 is my issue, but, apparently you cannot downgrade directX, and i'd rather not try.
I tried recopying the GW file or using the original exe file, I tried re downloading textmod and the packages, I tried compatibility mode for textmod, I am starting to get very sad lol.
Any help please?

Regardless of what your computer is capable of, if you're running Guild Wars, you're running DX9.
Sigh - it's just one of those PITA problems with texmod - it's quite often done exactly the same thing to me sometimes, yet the next time it's been fine.

I havent gotten it to work AT ALL though on this compy.
Is there an official site for Textmod instead of using the gwwiki? I find it hard to believe such a fun program doesn't have its own site.

Sadly not.
I've never seen mention of the original author, but Texmod was just a tiny little app knocked up by someone to mess around with textures (that's where the name presumably comes from; texture modification.)
It's not even an app. designed for Guild Wars - if you Google it, you'll find mention of many other games like Tomb Raider, Dead Space and various Steam-driven games.

Hi guys
Instead of making a new thread I thought I would just jump in here.
Are the Texmod links provided in the wiki still ok to use? I recently had to wipe my hard drive clean because of a boot sector virus (which was contracted shortly after downloading and installing Texmod). Not 100% where it came from though.
Is there a way of checking whether or not those links are ok? Don't want to sound like a worry wart, but rather safe than sorry.

Wiki links should be ok, be sure to compare hashes/checksums, and be sure they weren't changed recently on wiki.
@OP :
If you run gw well without texmod, you probably don't deal with some backward compatibility problems from dx11.
Be sure to run texmod with enough privilege (just a guess since i don't own this OS), run texmod as administrator for example to be sure texmod gets allowed to hook dx calls in gw.

Ah yes, the cure for 90% of all Win7 problems - Run As Administrator!
I should write a keyboard macro for that...

Do we share the same mind?
I was just thinking about the same :O
I'm not sure wich link to pick..
There are like 3 links (rapidshare, Megaupload and TombraiderHub)
Wich one shall i pick i hope this does not infect my pc for some kind of reason.
Alot of people I know use TexMod but I have the feeling I'm gonna have some bad luck and get some kind of nasty Trojan :|

well after a month of using texmod, i have the same problem out of nowhere..
I use win7 also and dx11 but thats not the problem i guess cause it used to work fine before.
I had this error one or 2 times before but after the second try it worked fine.
Now i am stuck with my cartograph titles at 99.9 (elona) 97.6(tyria) and 96.6 (cantha)
What i tried and didnt worked.
I re-downloaded texmod.
I re-downloaded the pack
nothing worked,
any suggestions?
EDIT
It just started to work .....like the way it stopped working,,,
